RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF INSTRUCTOR IN COMPUTER SCIENCE IN EDUCATION DEPARTMENT ON CONTRACT BASIS

The Director of School Education invites applications from Indian Citizens who are the natives of the Union Territory of Puducherry for the post of Instructor in Computer Science in the Directorate of School Education to be engaged on contract basis for a period of one year at a consolidated wages of Rs. 8500/- p.m.

Eligibility Conditions:

1. Age-limit :
Between 18 and 32 years as on 09.08.2010 which is the last date of receipt of applications. Age-limit is relaxable for MBC, OBC, SC, Ex-Servicemen, Meritorious Sports Person and Physically Handicapped candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

2. Educational qualifications :
“ B.Tech Degree in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology (4 years course) or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Computer Applications of a recognized University.”

3. Nativity Condition :
a) Nativity by birth: The applicant should have been born in the Union Territory of Puducherry and should have been ordinarily residing within the Union Territory prior to the date of application.
b) Nativity by continuous residence: The applicant should have been residing continuously for five years in the Union Territory prior to the date of application.

4. Language Requirement:
Should have studied the particular Regional language (Tamil / Telugu / Malayalam) as one of the subjects in the Secondary Level. In respect of schools with medium of Instruction in French, the applicants should have studied Brevet Elementaire de Francais.

Terms and Conditions of Contract:

1. The Instructors will be engaged on contract basis for a period of one year to teach Computer Science to Higher Secondary Students subject to the following conditions:-

i) The Instructors will be engaged until the closure of the schools for summer vacation and disengaged thereafter.
ii) They are not entitled to leave of any kind other than casual leave of one day for every completed month of service and public holidays and regular holidays.
iii) They are not entitled to any service benefits including pension, invalid pension, Gratuity, bonus and other retirement benefits etc. taking into account the period of their contract service.
iv) The service rendered by them will not be reckoned for the purpose of seniority and promotion or for any other benefit under other Service Rules. It will not give them any right to claim regular appointment under Govt. under any circumstances.
v) Their services may be terminated by the Director of School Education after issue of one month notice, if their services are not upto the expected standard or for any other specific reasons. They may also discontinue their services after giving one month notice, if they do not want to continue.
vi) They should enter into an agreement with the Department before appointment.
vii) They may be re-engaged at the end of one year at the discretion of the Government.

Recruitment of Project Fellow - Dept.of Chemistry

Recruitment For the Post of Director

Applications are invited from highly qualified, dedicated and academically productive scholars or Educational Administrators with proven leadership qualities for appointment as Director, Distance Education.

Essential qualification

1. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in the UGC seven point scale.

2. Ph.D in any discipline.

3. At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer (Senior Scale)/ Lecturer with 8 years in Reader’s grade along with experience in Educational Administration. (OR) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education (OR) 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

5. The candidates are required to subm it the applications in the prescribed format given below, which m ay be typed out and filled up by the candidates along with the following copies of the certificates:

(i) Certificate showing the Educational qualifications.
(ii) Birth certificate.
(iii) Category certificate for XSM /M SP issued by the Com petent Authority.
(iv) Caste/Com munity Certificate.
(v) Nativity Certificate.

The selected candidates shall be required to subm it original Nativity Certificate and Caste/Com munity Certificate as per the reservation viz., SC/BT/OBC/M BC as mentioned in their applications. Any failure/deviation to produce these certificates shall lead to cancellation of their selectioNand the onus of responsibility shall solely be with the candidate to produce the original certificates.

12. Recruit ment will be made based oN a written test of objective type questions. The written exam consist of two papers ie. Paper-I (150 Questions) containing General English, Science, M athematics and Reasoning and Paper –II (150 Questions) containing Indian Constitution, Politics, History and Current Affairs. The duration of each session is 2 hours. The date, ti me and venue for the written test will be intim ated to the eligible candidates later. EACH QUESTION W ILL BE IN ENGLISH, TAMIL, MALAYALAM AND TELUGU.
